Mamun gets acting general secretary post at People's Rights Council

Mamun has been appointed as the acting general secretary of the People's Rights Council. Hasan Al Mamun was appointed to the position after the expulsion of Rashed Khan, the former general secretary of the People's Rights Council. This information was confirmed today (December 28) through a notification in the press by Shakil Uzzaman, the office secretary of the People's Rights Council.

The notification further mentioned that - following the constitution of the People's Rights Council and giving importance to the opinions of the members of the party's higher council and executive committee, Senior Joint General Secretary Hasan Al Mamun has been given the responsibility as the general secretary (acting) of the People's Rights Council.

On the other hand, Mamun said in a post on his Facebook profile - following the constitution of the People's Rights Council and according to everyone's consent, I have been given the responsibility as the general secretary. In these challenging times, I have taken responsibility, with the aim of keeping the party above personal criticism, gaining the trust of the people of the country and working for the welfare of the people of the country.

Incidentally, Rashed Khan officially left his party and joined the BNP on Saturday (December 27) afternoon. He will contest the upcoming election from Jhenaidah-4 constituency under the symbol of a sheaf of rice. He completed the formalities of joining the party by presenting flowers to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul in Gulshan.

Jamaat will fight with the strength of 10 alliances

Meanwhile, the People's Rights Council is proposing to expel Rashed Khan due to clear evidence of his involvement in activities against party discipline.

Incidentally, Rashed Khan's home is in Muraridah village of Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila. He previously served as the central general secretary of the People's Rights Council.
