India vs Pak History

The world has witnessed the conflict between India and Pakistan since 1947. They seem to be eternal enemies of each other. But many do not know where the real secret lies. Despite being one country, why do India, Pakistan and Bangladesh claim each other as eternal enemies? Intend World News has come out with today's report to find answers to thousands of such questions.

When India and Pakistan were under British rule ( 1600 )

The East India Company was formed in England in 1600. Elizabeth is credited with starting trade with India in the early 1600s. After this, in 1608, Captain Hawkins visited India with the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. In 1613, the first English factory was established in Surat. Then, the business of silk, spices, tea, indigo cultivation, etc., continued.

By conducting business in this way, they became known as a prosperous company. But the company did not stop there. The company gradually entered politics. At that time, it was the last era of the Mughal Empire in India. At that time, there was unrest in India. Weak administration, conflicts among provincial rulers, and regional divisions. The British exploited this regional division. They started defeating the states one by one.

The beginning of British rule (1757)

The British continued to expand their dominion since the Battle of Plassey in 1757. At that time, Bengal was the richest province of India. The Nawab of that province, Siraj-ud-Daula, wanted to stop the illegal activities of the East India Company. However, the company, through Robert Clive, lured the Nawab's commander, Mir Jafar, with money. As a result, Siraj-ud-Daula was killed in this battle, and the Company took control of Bengal, Bihar, and Orissa. The British began to dominate after the death of Siraj-ud-Daula.

British-Buxar War (1764)

This war brought good news for the British. The Battle of Buxar was fought between the British and the Mughals, the joint forces of Awadh and Bengal. The British were victorious. In 1765, the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II granted the Diwani of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa to the Company.

East India Company rule (1765-1858)

This company was the East India Company only in name, but the actual control was in the hands of the British. The British started ruling by showing the rules of the company. They used to practice injustice and oppression by mentioning the rules of the company. In this way,y they continued to rule. However, their rule ended in 1857. The main reasons for their end were religion, state capture, land ownership injustice and arrogance. In 1857, the rebellion spread all over India (from Meerut to Delhi) and was led by Bahadur Shah Zafar, Rani Laxmibai, Tatia Tope, Nanasaheb, etc. In the last stage of this struggle, the British were suppressed. This was the first freedom struggle of India.

British rule in India (1858-1947)

After the East India Company's rule ended in 1858. In that year, India came directly under the British Crown (Queen) according to the Government of India Act. Queen Victoria said, "We will be diligent in protecting our Indian subjects." Then the Viceroy of India became the administrator in India.

But this did not weaken the dominance of the British. They continued to expand their dominance in the name of the Queen instead of the Company. For example, they used to give small jobs to Indians, and the British were appointed to high positions. They strictly controlled the central administration. In this way, India became the main agricultural country and a market for British products. This caused great damage to the industrial sector in India. However, during this time, railways, postal services, telegraphs, commercial cities, courts, and police systems were introduced. Unfortunately, even though everything was on Indian soil, these were built for the benefit of the British.

During the period 1858-1947, Indians were oppressed in various ways, and they awakened to national consciousness. During this time, they organised many important movements. Among them were the Indian National Congress, the anti-partition movement of Bengal, the Swadeshi movement, the Khilafat and Non-cooperation movement, the Civil Disobedience movement, and the Quit India movement. The popular leaders during this time were Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and many others.

Prediction of India's independence

During this time, Indians were becoming more and more nationalistic. On the other hand, Britain was becoming weaker; the main reason for this weakness was World War II.  At this time, due to the agitation and rebellion of the Thartians, the British declared that India would become independent. After this, India became independent. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh were these countries. Which was called India.

The full history of the Pakistan conflict (1947)

The British did indeed divide India in 1947, but it gave rise to a new conflict. Because this war was not about independence but about religion. You will be surprised to know that India was divided on the basis of religion. And this division was done by the British.

Partition of India and Pakistan and the beginning of hostilities (1947)

When the British realised that if the Indians united and opposed them, they would not be able to control the Indians. So they went ahead with the path of creating conflict among the Indians and created disputes among the Indians. The British made the Bengalis understand that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together. So Pakistan for your Muslims and India for your Hindus. And from this decision, the beginning of the new India-Pak war began. It was later repealed in 1911, but the division was not settled.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Hindu and Muslim Danga

Mohammad Ali Jinnah was the main reason for the division between Hindus and Muslims. He made the Muslims understand that even though Hindus and Muslims are in the same country, they are two separate people - their religion, tradition, food habits, laws are all different. Therefore, it is not possible for them to live together in peace in one country. After hearing this, all the Indian Muslims united for the partition of India. The day Mohammad Ali Jinnah said this, the beginning of the partition was created.

After this, in 1940, the Muslim League adopted the Lahore Resolution. It later became known as the Pakistan Resolution. It demanded a separate state for Muslims. The British then saw that the differences between Hindus and Muslims were so deep that it was not possible to rule in this way.

After this, on 14-15 August 1947, India was partitioned. There was a country called India where Hindus were in majority and another country called Pakistan where Muslims were in majority. Here Pakistan was divided into two countries. East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and West Pakistan (Pakistan) were created after a map was made by a British lawyer named Cyril Radcliffe. Interestingly, neither of those two countries could be mentioned.

Cyril Radcliffe

We still blame the British for the partition of India and Pakistan, but the British are not to blame. They took such decisions for their own interests and on the advice of Mohammad Ali Jinnah to suppress Muslims in India.

After the division of the two countries on the basis of religion, enmity arose in the minds of the people of the two countries. And Kashmir only serves to deepen this enmity.

Raja Hari Singh

First Indo-Pakistani War (1947-1948)

After the partition of India and Pakistan, their first war was over Kashmir in the year of independence. India wanted Kashmir to come under their control, on the other hand, Pakistan wanted it to rule over Kashmir. The two countries started fighting over this issue. At that time, the King of Kashmir, Hari Singh, wanted Kashmir to be annexed to India. When the Pakistani government came to know about this, the war between India and Pakistan started. And that war was stopped in 1949 with the intervention of the United Nations. After that, Kashmir was divided into two parts (Kashmir and Pok) by an agreement between the two countries. Kashmir remained under Indian control and PoK was under Pakistani control. However, the problem did not end here.

Second Indo-Pakistani War (1965)

In 1965, India and Pakistan fought a second war over Kashmir. Pakistan first provoked conflict in Kashmir by launching Operation Gibraltar. Later, India counterattacked in full force along the border with Pakistan. Both countries suffered heavy losses in this war. Fighting continued on both sides, and then, due to diplomatic pressure, the two countries were forced to sign a ceasefire. That agreement was signed in 1966. The agreement was called the Tashkent Agreement.

Third Indo-Pakistani War (1971)

This war started with the internal affairs of Pakistan. There was no question of India participating here. But Pakistan forced India to participate. There was no armed force in East Pakistan (Bangladesh). It was all under the occupation of Pakistan. Although it was separate in name and place, the entire hegemony was transferred by the Pak-born. East Pakistan was with of Bengal, India, so people there spoke Bengali. But Pakistan wanted East Pakistan to speak their language Urdu. In other words, Urdhva would be the mother tongue of East and West Pakistan. But East Pakistan did not accept this because Bengali was their mother tongue; they would never accept Urdu as their mother tongue. Although there was no mention of any religion in this demand in East Pakistan, they made this demand together as Hindus and Muslims. Then, Pakistan put the entire responsibility for this demand on the Hindus of Bangladesh. And they thought that it was the Hindus in Bangladesh who made this demand. That is why they came to Bangladesh and carried out brutal killings. Especially killing Hindus. However, many Muslims were martyred in this war. But Pakistan's main target was Hindus.

After this, India brought the people of East Pakistan to Kolkata and trained them to become freedom fighters. Those freedom fighters and Indian forces together started a war with the Pakistani army. Pakistan could not survive the war with the joint forces for long. Pakistan surrendered, and a new country, Bangladesh, was born from East Pakistan.

Indo-Pakistani Wars (1984 and 1990)

The Siachen Glacier was a conflict between India and Pakistan. The conflict between India and Pakistan over the control of Siachen began in 1984. This war lasted for a long time. Many people from both countries were injured and killed in this war. The most affected people in this war were the common people of both countries.

Kargil War (1999)

The war is unique among all the wars in the history of Pakistan's war with India. The Pakistani army secretly entered the Kargil Ridge. After this, the Indian army launched its operation. The operation was named Vijay. Despite international pressure, India lost ground, but questions arose about leadership, strategy and intelligence failures. Later, tensions were reduced by mediation in Lahore and Shimla. This operation caused a lot of losses in Pakistan and forced them to retreat.

The wars of 2001 and 2002 (India vs Pak).

The reason for this war is no exception. Pakistan first attacked Indian buildings. Then India prepared for war. Before the war started, a ceasefire was reached due to diplomatic pressure and American mediation.

Then, in 2004, Pakistan carried out a terrorist attack in Mumbai by Lashkar-e-Taiba. Thousands of civilians were killed in this attack in Pakistan. Although India could not directly blame Pakistan. But India pointed fingers at Pakistan. After this incident, both countries demanded international retribution.

India vs Pakistan war (2016)

In 2016, a suicide terrorist attack took place at the Jammu Army camp in Uri. Many soldiers were killed in this attack at the army camp. India claimed that the attack was carried out by Pakistani forces. This is natural because there is no one else on the border except India and Pakistan. After this, India openly carried out surgical strikes. Indian soldiers went inside Pakistan and conducted this strike. After this, tensions between the two countries increased again. This time, a ceasefire was reached due to the intervention of the United Nations.

India vs Pakistan war (2025)

Then the whole world saw the history of the war of 2025. A Pakistani terrorist organization entered Indian-controlled Kashmir and openly killed tourists. Pakistan initially denied responsibility for this murder. The next day, a Pakistan-controlled organization went live and admitted that it had carried out this murder. The world saw the cruelty of Pakistan in this war. They killed tourists by checking their religion. Then India carried out a strike called Operation Sindoor. In this operation, the Indian Air Force destroyed more than 7 terrorist bases in Pakistan.
