The former Pakistani cricketer and the current former Prime Minister of the country, Shahbaz Sharif's government has imprisoned him. In this situation, a ban has been imposed on meeting former Imran Khan. As a result, Imran Khan's family and his party workers are not able to communicate with him in any way. His party workers have given a strict warning on this issue. They have said that the Pakistani government must lift this ban on "Shahbaz Sharif". Otherwise, Imran Khan's party workers have made it clear that the entire Pakistani people will join the protest.

Protests to resume in Pakistan

The country's opposition alliance organised a joint press conference outside the Parliament House in Pakistan on Friday. In it, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) President Mehmood Achakzai said, "We have stopped Sindhis, Baloch, Pashtuns and Punjabis from coming out on the streets. Otherwise, they would have come out (on the streets) against the government and its policies.

This would have caused big problems for the rulers." Mehmood also accused the government of turning Parliament into a "rubber stamp" and National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq of following "orders from elsewhere." He said, "People are losing their lives in areas inhabited by ethnic minorities. But the speaker is not giving them a chance to talk about this serious issue.

" Imran Khan has been in prison for more than two years. He is currently in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Recently, various reports have been circulating about Imran's health condition. Pointing to that, Mehmood asked, Why is Imran Khan still in jail, and why is he not being allowed to meet his sister and party leaders? At the press conference, he said, "Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Adiala is sitting outside the jail. No one is listening to his request to meet the PTI founder."

Statement by Aleema Khan Adiala

On Friday, Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan filed a contempt of court petition against the superintendent of Adiala Jail and others concerned. She alleged that the Islamabad High Court's order to reinstate the schedule of twice-weekly meetings with Imran Khan is not being followed. Therefore, she filed a contempt of court complaint against the prison officials on Friday morning.

According to a report by Pakistani media outlet Geo News on Friday, some Indian media outlets have reported that rumours have been spread on the internet about Imran's death. Some media outlets have also claimed that he has been shifted from Adiala Jail to another place. But the Adiala Jail authorities said in a statement, "No news regarding his (Imran Khan) transfer from the prison is true. He is completely healthy and is receiving necessary medical care." The authorities have clarified that the uncertainty being expressed about Imran's health is baseless.

His proper treatment is being ensured. Imran Khan has been in prison since August 2023. After being ousted in a no-confidence vote by the opposition in April 2022, he has been the subject of multiple cases ranging from corruption to involvement in terrorism.
