There have been many rumors and speculations about Imran Khan on social media. Many of us, without knowing the truth, are thinking that Imran Khan may have died in jail. But now, the Pakistani prison authorities have said that he is fine.
How is Imran Khan?
Former Pakistani Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was reportedly shifted from Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail to another location. However, the jail authorities on Wednesday dismissed the rumours and said that he is still in jail and is healthy.
Meanwhile, some Indian media outlets have reported that rumours have been circulating on the internet about Imran's death. Khwaja Asif has never received the facilities that Imran Khan is getting in jail. The food that is provided for him is not available even in a five-star hotel. Khwaja Asif, Pakistan's Defence Minister The Adiala Jail authorities said in a statement,
"There is no truth to any news about his (Imran Khan) being shifted from the jail. He is completely healthy and receiving necessary medical care."
The authorities have clarified that the uncertainty being expressed about Imran's health is baseless. His proper treatment is being ensured. Imran Khan has been in prison since August 2023. Since his ouster in a no-confidence vote by the opposition in April 2022, he has been charged with multiple cases ranging from corruption to terrorism.
In a separate statement, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said, "Khawaja Asif has never received the facilities that Imran Khan is getting in prison. The food that is arranged for him is not available in any five-star hotel." Imran Khan has been in prison since August 2023.
Since his ouster in a no-confidence vote by the opposition in April 2022, he has been charged with multiple cases ranging from corruption to terrorism. Khawaja Asif also claimed, "There is a television for Imran Khan. He can watch any channel. There is also an exercise machine for him. But when we were in prison, we used to sleep on the floor in the cold, eat prison food. We only got two blankets, and there was not even hot water."
