Bangladesh Joint Forces have arrested a total of 698 people in the last 24 hours under Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2. This was confirmed by the Police Headquarters on Monday (December 22). The joint forces have arrested 698 people and seized 14 firearms in the operation.

The previous Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2 was conducted for 8 consecutive days. A total of 6,598 people were arrested in that operation and a total of 56 firearms were also seized.

Based on the current situation in Bangladesh, this operation is being conducted in different parts of Bangladesh to arrest mob groups. The mob group is trying to destabilize Bangladesh in various ways. The group shot Sharif Osman Hadi in broad daylight, beat Sri Chandra Das alive and set him on fire. It vandalized and set fire to two of the country's most prestigious publishing houses. Today (December 22), the central leader of the National Citizens Party (NCP), Motaleb Sikdar, was shot dead.

It is worth noting that although Shri Dipu Das was killed for blasphemy, the police later investigated the matter and found that Shri Dipu Das had not blasphemed any religion. Even those who were involved in the murder do not know where, when, and in front of whom Dipu blasphemed.
