Gold prices have increased further. Effective from December 24, 2025

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to increase the price of gold in the country's market again. This time, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori has been increased by Tk 4,199 per bhori, setting the price at Tk 2,26,282.


BAJUS announced this information in a notification on Tuesday (December 23) night. The new price will be effective from Wednesday (December 24).


According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) in the country's market will be Tk 2,26,282. In addition, the price of gold per 21-carat bhori has been set at Tk 2,16,170, per 18-carat bhori at Tk 1,85,166, and per 154,315 in the traditional method.


Meanwhile, in the notification, BAJUS also said that the government-determined 5 percent VAT and the BAJUS-determined minimum wage of 6 percent must be added to the selling price of gold. However, wages may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.


Earlier, the last time BAJUS adjusted the price of gold in the country's market was on December 22. On that day, the organization increased the price of a 22-carat gold bhori by Tk 3,966 and set the price of a 22-carat gold bhori at Tk 2,22,083. Which was the highest price of this precious metal in the country's history.

In addition, the price of 21-carat bhori has been set at Tk 2,11,993, 18-carat bhori at Tk 1,81,725 ​​and 1,51,399 per bhori of traditional gold. Which came into effect from December 23.
