Trump traveled eight times on Epstein's plane, who was with him?
The name of the passenger list of the private plane of the late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is on the list. US President Donald Trump boarded the plane eight times. He made these trips from 1993 to 1996. This information has been revealed in new emails related to Epstein released by the US Department of Justice.
The email sent by a then US assistant attorney general on January 7, 2020, reads - 'Donald Trump traveled on Epstein's private plane many more times than previously believed (or that we knew).'
The presence of Trump's name on the passenger list does not mean that he is involved in a crime.
However, Trump has previously given false information about the matter. In 2024, Trump wrote, 'I never boarded Epstein's plane.'
Trump has also denied being involved in any criminal activity with Epstein.
The US Justice Department said some of the documents released on Tuesday contained “false and sensitive information against Trump.”
Trump and Epstein had a long-standing friendship. However, Trump has said their relationship ended long before Epstein was first arrested.
The US Justice Department recently released more than 30,000 pages of new documents related to Epstein under a law passed by the US Congress. Under that law, the Justice Department was obliged to release the full set of documents related to Epstein by last Friday.
In a statement yesterday, the Justice Department said, “Some of the documents contain false and exaggerated claims submitted to the FBI against President Trump just before the 2020 election. Let us be clear—these claims are completely baseless and false. If there was any credibility to these, they would have been used as a tool against President Trump by now.
The Justice Department said in a statement on social media, “Nevertheless, as part of our commitment to the rule of law and transparency, the Department of Justice is releasing these documents while maintaining the legally required protections for Epstein’s victims.”
The prosecutor’s email was sent on January 7, 2020. It was one of a series of emails called Epstein Flight Records. The names of the sender and recipient are redacted in the email. However, the email states, “Assistant Attorney for the Southern District of New York District Court.” However, his name is redacted.
The email states that Trump “was listed as a passenger on at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996. Maxwell (Epstein’s associate Gillian Maxwell) was also on at least four of those flights.” At various times, he traveled with Marla Maples (second wife), his daughter Tiffany, and son Eric, among others.’
The email also states, ‘On one flight in 1993, he and Epstein were the only passengers. On another flight, there were only three passengers. They were—Epstein, Trump, and a then-20-year-old…” —the rest of the sentence is covered up.
Tensions rise again on the Thailand-Cambodia border
The email says: ‘On the other two flights, there were two women who were passengers who are potential witnesses in the Maxwell case.’
According to the email, Trump traveled on Epstein’s plane even when he (Epstein) was being considered for indictment in the Maxwell case.
Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for luring minors into illicit sexual activities and trafficking them for sex. The US Department of Justice said at the time that Maxwell committed these crimes from at least 1994 to approximately 2004.
Epstein died in a New York prison cell in 2019. He had been convicted of sexual assault and was also on trial for sex trafficking.
