Bangladesh is playing the game of fire. In Lakshmipur district of Bangladesh, the house of Belal Hossain (BNP) leader was first locked and set on fire by pouring petrol. In this fire, a child died and two others including Belal were admitted to the medical hospital after being injured.
The victims are BNP leader Belal Hossain, one of his three children, Ayesha Begum, died and two more daughters, Bithi and Smriti, were seriously injured and admitted to Sadar Hospital.
The bodies of 6 Bangladeshi heroes arrived in the country this morning.
After this, the Lakshmipur fire service personnel came and confirmed the matter. They also confirmed the injured and deceased. They said that the fire spread rapidly because petrol was poured into the house before setting it on fire.
Sadar Police Station Officer Md. Wahid Parvez went there after receiving the news. He said that it is not yet known who or what did such an act, the culprit will be identified and arrested as soon as possible.
The incident took place in the Charmansa area of Bhabaniganj, Sadar Upazila, Lakshmipur district, last night, Friday, December 19.
The day before (December 18), a Hindu youth named Dipu Kumar Das was first beaten to death by a mob for blasphemy, and then his body was set on fire.
The offices of Prothom Alo and The Daily Star, two of Bangladesh's top newspapers of the day, were also vandalized.
