Fire burns on The Atlantic cruise bound for St. Martin, 1 dead so far

The Atlantic Cruise ship bound for St. Martin caught fire while it was reaching Nuniarachara Ghat. Today (December 27) is Thursday. So far, one person has died in the fire. There were a total of 16 sailors and crew on board the ship. It is learnt that the fire broke out around 7 am when the ship was near Nuniarachara Ghat. So far, one crew member has been reported dead.


As soon as the news was received, a unit of the Coast Guard and Fire Service reached the spot. After 2 hours of hard work, the remaining fire was brought under control. A unit of the Coast Guard and Fire Service said that after the fire broke out, the fire spread to the entire ship in a short time. Due to which almost most of the vessel was reduced to ashes. The upazila administration sent a speedboat and trawler to rescue the sailors and other crew members. The body of a crew member named Nur Kamal was recovered by the Fire Service.

A shopkeeper died in a fire at a market in Chandpur.

Yesterday (December 26, 2025), a fire broke out at a firing range in Bangladesh. Nine fire service units worked to bring the fire under control.
