Pakistan's well-known all-rounder Imad Wasim's personal life has been in turmoil. The star cricketer himself has revealed that he has filed for divorce from his wife Sania Ashfaq. Immediately after his announcement, Sania has created a storm of discussion by making counter-allegations on social media. The news was reported by Pakistan's influential daily Dawn.
In a post on Instagram, Imad Wasim said that he has decided to legally separate due to long-standing differences and complications. At the same time, he requested that their personal lives not be discussed in public and that everyone refrain from sharing old pictures or memories. Imad also mentioned that he will fulfill his responsibilities towards his children properly.
However, shortly after Imad's announcement, Sania Ashfaq's post on social media added a new dimension to the controversy. There, she alleged that she had been a victim of mental abuse and neglect for a long time in their married life. Sania even claimed that she was left alone during her pregnancy. She alleged that third-party interference was one of the reasons for the breakup of their relationship.
Sania further said that she has evidence to support these allegations. She also warned that she will not hesitate to take legal action if anyone threatens her to cover up the matter.
It is worth noting that Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim is currently in Sylhet to play for Dhaka Capitals in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
