Why India is deepening relations with all countries
On one hand, the United States imposed tariffs on India for buying oil from Russia. But even after that, India, without reducing its oil imports, entered into a 10-year defence agreement with the United States. After this, India is also maintaining good relations with its arch-enemy, China. The main reason for this is economic interests. India is very soon going to be known as the 5th to 3rd largest economy in the world. That is why Modi said, “This is not the era of war, this is the era of development.”
Can India rule the world?
Will India be able to rule the world? There will be no short answer to this question. Because the biggest obstacle to India doing this will be the United States. The United States is the world's first powerful country. They have 800+ foreign military bases, the largest economy, the most advanced technology, the most powerful alliance. India is far behind in these.
