The BNP has expelled 9 leaders, including Saiful Alam Nirob, Rumin Farhana and Hasan Mamun. The decision was taken because they were conducting organizational activities in violation of party rules. This information was released in a notification on Tuesday (December 30) evening.


The expelled leaders are Barrister Rumin Farhana, Joint International Affairs Secretary of the National Executive Committee, National Executive Committee members Muhammad Gias Uddin, Mohammad Shah Alam, Hasan Mamun, Abdul Khalek, former vice-president of the central Chhatra Dal and secretary general of the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Welfare Front Tarun Dey, former convener of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Saiful Alam Nirob, Sylhet District BNP Vice-President Mamunur Rashid (Chaksu Mamun) and President of Bancharampur Upazila BNP under Brahmanbaria District, agriculturist Mehedi Hasan Palash.


The notice said they have been expelled from all levels of posts, including primary membership, of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
