Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will attend the funeral of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and pay tribute. He will arrive in Dhaka tomorrow, Wednesday (December 31).


Earlier, Pakistan's Foreign Minister expressed deep shock after the death of Khaleda Zia in the morning. In a condolence message, he prayed for the eternal peace of Khaleda Zia's soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.


The funeral of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will be held at 2 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban grounds and Manik Mia Avenue. The funeral prayer will be led by the Khatib of the National Mosque. She will be buried with state honors next to the grave of her late husband, martyred President Ziaur Rahman.


It is worth noting that former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia passed away at 6 am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He was 80 years old at the time of his death. His eldest son and BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, along with close family members, were present at the hospital.
