Gunman attacks Sydney beach, at least 10 dead

A shooting incident has occurred on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. At least 10 people have been killed in the incident.

The incident took place on Sunday evening local time. This has caused a tense situation across Sydney. Panic has spread among the public. However, expatriate Bangladeshis are safe.

It is reported that gunmen attacked Bondi Beach after 6:30 pm local time today. At that time, hundreds of people were present at a ceremony organised on the beach on the occasion of the Jewish festival of 'Hanukkah'.

According to eyewitnesses, the police arrived shortly after the incident. Hundreds of people ran from the beach and ran towards safe shelter. About 50 gunshots were heard.

Harry Wilson, a 30-year-old local resident, witnessed the shooting. He said, 'I saw at least 10 people lying on the ground. There was blood everywhere. Police have launched a rapid operation immediately after the incident.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, police sources said. On the other hand, one gunman was injured in police firing.

Police are conducting an operation in the Bondi Beach area. Locals have been urged to avoid the area and follow police instructions.
